The Pivot Point Learning Center

The Yurt

The Yurt is the heart of the Pivot Point Learning Center. Its rounded, open layout is peaceful and spacious, supporting children with sensory sensitivities. Natural light and rounded walls help reduce harsh sounds and bright artificial lighting.

This space is used for speech and group therapies and has a full kitchen for feeding therapy. The Yurt is where most of our clients spend a majority of their time when the weather isn't inviting for outdoor activities.

The Hayloft

Named for its location directly over the barn, the Hayloft is our secondary therapy space and Music Therapy room. It hosts an indoor jungle gym and a view of the animals in the barnyard through the windows. This whimsical space stimulates kids' creativity and imagination.

Outdoor Play Spaces

We love engaging children in a wide variety of tactile play experiences. Our clients receive abundant opportunities to play outdoors on our 11-acre property and safely explore nature with careful supervision. Our pond and creek are especially exciting to some, and we even invite clients to learn how to fish!

The Barnyard

Pivot Point Pediatric Therapy is home to horses, rabbits, cats, sheep, and dogs that our clients can observe and interact with as they wish. As with all of our therapies, our clients lead this process and engage at their own comfort. Clients can choose to pet, brush, feed and care for the animals. If it excites them, we teach them to ride our Shetland Pony Cinnamon around the stable.
